COVID-19: Help provide food and essential goods

Your support will provide emergency supplies and food to families and communities that are in urgent need of help during this crisis.

URGENT INTERNATIONAL RESPONSE

India is experiencing a unprecedented crisis due to COVID-19.

How we are helping:

  • Feeding 260+ workers across 13 crematoriums in the city of Bangalore. Volunteers are distributing 3 meals a day for the whole month of May to these unsung heroes who are working tirelessly day & night, often going without food all day.
  • Providing oxygen cylinders to 4 local hospitals in Chennai. Our volunteers are also ensuring these tanks get refilled and redistributed to continue saving lives.
  • Providing essential medicine to the poor COVID patients that can’t afford medical treatment in Chennai.
  • We are currently working on shipping oxygen concentrators to be distributed to hospitals in Chennai and Bangalore.

To date, Seva Circle is helping commmunities across the USA by:

• Distributing 1300 masks to healthcare professionals, first responders and essential workers in New York

• Supporting the homeless on Skid Row in Downtown Los Angeles with over 6000 masks in 2020 and 4000 masks in 2021 to help them stay safe during the pandemic and 200 blankets during the 2020 winter season
• Giving food and care packages to hundreds of homeless in Downtown Chicago
• Providing materials to create 300 + handmade cloth masks for Veterans in Michigan
• Restocking food pantries for affected communities in Pomona, CA and Chicago, IL
• Delivering food to over 2100 families per week in Los Angeles County’s drive through food bank. We have donated over 157,000 pounds of food from May through November 2020.
